Protein and Polysaccharide Standards for Energy-Resolved IMS and CIU Experiments

Freie Universität Berlin (Berlin, Germany)

Background

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from M.G. University Kottayam, India (2015–2018), I pursued a Master of Science in Chemistry at Mysore University, India (2018–2020), and Gothenburg University, Sweden (2021–2023). My academic journey has been guided by a strong interest in analytical chemistry, focusing on mass spectrometry, organic chemistry, and fragmentation processes. During my one-year master’s thesis at AstraZeneca Biopharmaceuticals, I gained valuable practical experience with LC-MS techniques, further refining my analytical skills.

Currently, I am pursuing a PhD at Freie Universität Berlin with a research project titled “Protein and Polysaccharide Standards for Energy-Resolved Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS) and Collision-Induced Unfolding (CIU) Experiments.” My aim in this project is to develop a standardised energy curve in the gas phase for CIU and fragmentation across different instrumental platforms.

Through MobiliTraIN, I seek to enhance my multidisciplinary research capabilities, contribute to the development of robust analytical methodologies, and collaborate within an innovative research network.
