DC8 mentor
Lidia obtained her Master’s degree in Food Chemistry from the University of Münster, Germany. Her subsequent PhD at the Toxicological Centre of the University of Antwerp, Belgium, focused on the utilization of IM-MS for the annotation of emerging environmental contaminants and their biotransformation products in environmental and human samples. Additionally, her project included measurements on numerous IM-MS instrumental set-ups (travelling wave, trapped and drift-tube IMS) aiming to assess differences in collision cross section calculations. Lidia’s current postdoctoral research continues her work on developing IM-MS supported methods for suspect and non-target screening (SSA/NTS) of environmental contaminants. She is also actively involved in the Partnership for the Assessment of Risks from Chemicals (PARC) project contributing to inter-laboratory harmonization studies of SSA and NTS workflows
“MobiliTraIN unites an outstanding network of researchers and stakeholders, creating the foundation to advance both the applications and understanding of IM-MS. By spanning a wide range of research areas and applications, the project showcases the versatility of IM-MS and aims to unlock its full potential.”
